Renault unveils convertible Renault 4 E‑Tech Plein Sud electric model
Renault has introduced the Renault 4 E‑Tech Plein Sud, a convertible version of its electric Renault 4 launched a year earlier. The new model is priced from €36,300, about €1,800 more than the fixed‑roof version. It features a 52 kWh battery delivering a WLTP range of roughly 392 km, slightly lower than the 409 km of the standard model. Power comes from a 110 kW (150 hp) electric motor with 245 Nm of torque.
The Plein Sud’s standout element is its fabric soft‑top supplied by Webasto, which can be opened or closed in under ten seconds either electrically or by voice command, with future integration of Google Gemini AI planned. The roof opening measures 92 × 80 cm, the largest in its segment. Despite the added 19 kg of roof weight, the car retains the classic Renault 4’s spacious interior for five passengers, a 420‑litre cargo area, a low loading height and a 750 kg towing capacity.
