Renault unveils pricing and specs for new 2026 Megane E‑Tech electric in France

Renault announced the price range for its newly restyled Megane E‑Tech electric, set to launch in France in October 2026. The compact electric sedan is offered in two trim levels – Techno at €29,260 and Esprit Alpine at €32,260 after maximum state aid – with base prices of €37,260 and €40,260 respectively before subsidies. Both versions share a 220 hp (160 kW) motor, a 67 kWh LFP battery delivering up to 500 km of WLTP range, and a cell‑to‑pack battery architecture that shortens charging time (80 % in about 24 minutes at 165 kW). Standard equipment includes a 12‑inch OpenR link display, Google services, dual‑axis steering, and a range of driver‑assist systems. Deliveries are scheduled to begin in October 2026, and the model is expected to build on the Megane’s strong market performance, with first‑half‑year registrations up 74 % year‑on‑year.

The launch follows Renault’s broader electrification push, with the Megane E‑Tech positioned as a competitive offering in the European compact EV segment, combining a single powertrain option with advanced battery technology and a focus on practicality for families and city drivers.
