Renault updates Megane E-Tech Electric with improved battery and range

Renault has updated the Megane E-Tech Electric, introducing significant improvements in energy management and efficiency. The new model features a 67 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery utilizing a cell-to-pack (C2P) architecture, which allows for a driving range of up to 500 kilometers under the WLTP cycle.

The vehicle is powered by a 220 CV synchronous motor without rare earth elements, produced in Cléon, France. Charging capabilities have been enhanced with 165 kW DC fast charging, enabling a battery charge from 15% to 80% in approximately 24 minutes. Additionally, the car supports bidirectional AC charging (11 kW standard, 22 kW optional) for vehicle-to-load (V2L) functionality, allowing it to power external devices up to 3,700 watts.

The updated lineup is simplified into two trim levels: Techno and Esprit Alpine. The Esprit Alpine version is priced starting at 33,950 euros, while the Techno trim is priced at 39,950 euros. Technological features include the openR link multimedia system with Google services, a heat pump, and advanced driver assistance systems.
