Renault unveils Megane E-Tech Electric refresh with 67 kWh battery and 500 km WLTP range

Renault has launched a mid‑cycle refresh of its Megane E‑Tech Electric compact hatchback. The update introduces a larger 67 kWh lithium‑iron‑phosphate (LFP) battery, raising the WLTP‑certified range to up to 500 km (up from 468 km) and boosting DC fast‑charging power to 165 kW, which fills the pack from 15 % to 80 % in about 24 minutes.

The exterior receives a comprehensive redesign: the front bumper, grille and lighting signature are new, featuring eight diamond‑shaped LED elements, while the rear gains a three‑dimensional light cluster. The vehicle sits roughly 20 mm higher to accommodate the larger battery. Inside, the digital cockpit remains unchanged with a 12.3‑inch instrument cluster and a 12‑inch infotainment screen running Renault’s OpenR Link system, now enhanced with Google Gemini AI, driver‑recognition cameras, One‑Pedal operation and V2L (vehicle‑to‑load) capability.

Renault will offer the refreshed model in two trim levels – Techno and Esprit Alpine – and plans to begin sales in Europe in late 2026 for the 2027 model year. Production continues in France, with the battery assembled in Douai and the electric motor in Cléon.
