Renault updates electric Scenic and Renault 5 models

Renault is implementing significant technical updates and production expansions for its electric vehicle lineup, specifically the Scenic E-Tech and the Renault 5 E-Tech.

The Scenic E-Tech now offers improved battery options, including an 89 kWh NMC battery providing up to 642 km of WLTP range and a 67 kWh LFP battery offering 467 km. Both options feature improved charging speeds, with the LFP version capable of reaching 80% charge in 24 minutes. The vehicle also features enhanced driver assistance systems, such as Multi Target traffic analysis.

The Renault 5 E-Tech has seen range improvements through aerodynamic refinements and battery optimization. Available versions include a 40 kWh battery with up to 315 km of range and a 52 kWh battery providing up to 430 km. The model is also integrating Google’s Gemini AI via over-the-air updates to provide more natural conversational interactions.

To support rising demand, Renault is seeking over 350 new employees for its ElectriCity plant in Douai, France, to bolster production for the Renault 5, Scenic, and Mégane E-Tech models.
