Rende hosts immersive theatre project to preserve local history

The immersive theatre project ‘Return – Museo delle storie perdute’ is concluding its run in Rende, Calabria. Directed by Maria Grazia Bisurgi and promoted by Collettivo ConimieiOcchi, the project utilizes the historic center of Rende as an open-air museum to preserve local memories and community narratives.

The performance, titled ‘Pastorale multimediale’, integrates audiovisual research, electronic music, and soundscapes to allow spectators to actively experience the town's streets and squares. The initiative aims to combat the loss of local identity and the physical emptying of small centers by giving voice to the past through its inhabitants.
