Rende hosts return of Terra: Opera Aliena ufology symposium

The fourth edition of the “Terra: Opera Aliena” symposium is scheduled to return to Rende, Calabria, on October 17, 2026. Organized by the Associazione Culturale Mistery Hunters, the event will be held at the Hotel Europa after a seven-year hiatus since its last occurrence in 2019.

The conference focuses on ufology, paleoastronautics, lost civilizations, and fringe disciplines. Topics of discussion include hypotheses regarding non-human intelligence, unidentified flying object sightings, and anomalies reported in the oceans. The upcoming program features researchers Maurizio Baiata and Pablo Ayo.

Historically, the symposium has attracted hundreds of participants from across Southern Italy, including Sicily, Puglia, Campania, and Basilicata. Past speakers have included international figures such as Sam Osmanagich and Derrel W. Sims.
