Renée LeBlanc-Paulin receives Member of Parliament Medal
Renée LeBlanc-Paulin, owner of La Boucherie Centre-Ville in Trois-Pistoles, has been awarded the Member of Parliament Medal by Amélie Dionne, the Minister of Tourism and MP for Rivière-du-Loup–Témiscouata–Les Basques.
LeBlanc-Paulin was recognized for her commitment to local entrepreneurship and her efforts to strengthen regional food supply chains in Eastern Quebec. Her business model focuses on reducing intermediaries by processing entire carcasses from local producers; the butcher shop processes two whole cattle per week for direct sale to consumers.
In addition to her butcher shop, LeBlanc-Paulin is a co-owner of the Groupe ADEL slaughterhouse in Luceville. Her work in promoting short supply chains and local meat production has also been the subject of a documentary titled ‘La bouchère de Trois-Pistoles’.
