Renesas Electronics introduces smallest GreenPAK mixed-signal IC

Renesas Electronics Corporation has announced the SLG46801, the smallest GreenPAK configurable mixed-signal device in its portfolio. The chip is available in two package options: a 9-ball WLCSP measuring 1.155 mm x 1.155 mm and a 12-lead STQFN package measuring 1.6 mm x 1.6 mm x 0.55 mm.

Designed to reduce PCB space and bill-of-materials costs, the device integrates analog, timing, and logic functions. It includes two high-speed analog comparators, configurable lookup tables, counters, delays, 10 kHz and 25 MHz oscillators, voltage-tolerant GPIOs, and an I2C-compatible serial interface. The chip is intended for use in compact, feature-rich electronics such as smart rings, smartwatches, VR glasses, and IoT sensor nodes.
