Renewable Energy Firms RES and Suntech Launch Performance-Boosting Solutions
Renewable Energy Systems (RES) introduced its TuneUp solution, a control‑system upgrade for wind turbines that tailors settings to each site and turbine condition. The technology raised annual output at the 20‑year‑old Altahullion 2 Wind Farm in Northern Ireland by 2% and can increase yields by more than 1% on average. RES also open‑sourced its uplift‑measurement methodology, wind‑up, on GitHub and received the Technical Innovation Award at the 2025 Wind Investment Awards.
Suntech announced SunStorage, an integrated solar‑plus‑storage portfolio covering residential, commercial, industrial and utility‑scale applications. SunStorage Home offers 6‑54 kWh battery capacity for household self‑consumption and backup power, while SunStorage Pro provides modular solutions up to 1,125 kW for larger users, with both AC‑ and DC‑coupled options and intelligent energy‑management features. The launch aims to expand clean‑energy generation and improve renewable utilization across diverse scenarios.
