Renewable energy generates 24 million euros annually for Navarra municipalities

Renewable energy installations in Navarra now cover six out of every ten municipalities in the region. According to data presented by the Renewable Energy Cluster of Navarra (Enercluster), these installations generate approximately 24 million euros in recurring annual revenue for local municipalities.

Historically, these projects have contributed over 146 million euros to local coffers, which town councils have utilized to improve infrastructure, services, and quality of life. Beyond financial gains, the sector supports 315 direct jobs and provides environmental benefits equivalent to removing one million cars from the road in terms of CO2 reduction.

Specific regional highlights include Tutera as the area with the highest installed capacity, Aguilar de Codés possessing the highest capacity per inhabitant, and Corella serving as the solar capital with 112 MW of photovoltaic power. While wind energy remains the primary source in Navarra, solar energy continues to show significant growth.
