Renewable energy projects advance in Burglengenfeld and Teunz

New solar energy initiatives are moving forward in the Bavarian municipalities of Burglengenfeld and Teunz.

In Burglengenfeld, the groundbreaking ceremony for the Hirschberg solar park near Lanzenried has taken place. The project involves a partnership between the Burglengenfeld municipal utilities (Stadtwerke), the citizen energy cooperative Mittlere Oberpfalz eG (BEMO), and the landowner. The municipal utilities hold a 15 percent stake in the project company, while BEMO holds 70 percent. The total investment for the first expansion stage is estimated at approximately 550,000 euros.

In Teunz, the local municipal council has approved the development of the community’s first solar park. The facility is planned for a 2.6-hectare site in Gutenfürst, marking a significant step in the region's transition to renewable energy.
