Renewable energy projects expand in Vojvodina, Serbia
Several renewable energy projects are being advanced in the Vojvodina region of Serbia. In Zrenjanin, the City Assembly has adopted detailed regulation plans for two solar power plants in the municipalities of Ečka and Mužlja. Each facility is expected to have a capacity of up to 10 megawatts. The Ečka 1 project was initiated by Belyn solar, while the Mužlja plant was proposed by Nutrihealth.
In the Kula municipality, specifically within the Sivac and Crvenka areas, a large-scale hybrid energy complex named ‘Equinox Power’ is planned. This project will combine solar and wind energy production with an integrated electricity storage system. The facility is designed to have a total capacity of approximately 200 MW. The wind component will feature ten turbines, each up to 300 meters tall, providing 72 MW of power. The project aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and decrease reliance on imported energy sources.
