Renewable energy projects launched in Monastier and Racconigi

In Monastier, the Stalla Sociale Cooperativa has inaugurated a new facility to convert its existing biogas plant into a biomethane production system. Since 2010, the plant's digester produced electrical energy, contributing over 125,000 MWh to the grid. Following the expiration of electrical incentives in January 2025, the cooperative opted to renovate rather than dismantle the site. The new system currently produces 250 standard cubic meters of biomethane per hour, totaling approximately 6,000 cubic meters daily.

In Racconigi, a new photovoltaic system has been installed on the roof of the Ala Mercatale building. With a capacity of approximately 30 kW, the installation is expected to cover about 40% of the municipal building's energy requirements. The project was supported by a 36,000 euro contribution from the Fondazione CRC. The municipality plans to integrate this system into the Solar Valley Renewable Energy Community (CER) to increase shared renewable energy benefits for the local area.
