Renewi Tour 2026 schedule and sprinter interest

The Renewi Tour is scheduled to take place from August 19 to 23, 2026. The five-day race in Belgium will feature a variety of terrains, including cobbled stages, broken landscapes, and opportunities for mass sprints.

The opening stage will start and finish in Diest, covering 191 kilometers. This explosive stage includes two repeated cobbled climbs and a final circuit with a 400-meter ascent at a 5.5% gradient.

Due to the course designs of the 2026 Vuelta a España, which many experts believe lack sufficient opportunities for group sprints, several top sprinters are reportedly prioritizing the Renewi Tour. While the Vuelta features names like Wout van Aert and Mads Pedersen, specialists such as Tim Merlier and Greg van Aversen are looking toward the Renewi Tour to better showcase their sprinting capabilities.
