Renewi Tour 2026 start list announced as Tim Wellens withdraws

The 2026 Renewi Tour is scheduled to take place from August 19 to August 23, featuring five stages held entirely in Belgium. The race will begin in Diest and conclude in Leuven. The provisional start list includes a strong field of sprinters such as Jasper Philipsen, Tim Merlier, Jonathan Milan, and Olav Kooij. Defending champion Arnaud De Lie is set to return, while the route features a mix of sprints, cobbles, and short climbs around Geraardsbergen.

Notably, the 2026 edition will not include an individual time trial, placing increased importance on positioning and bonus seconds. However, record-holder Tim Wellens, who has won the race four times, will be unable to compete. Wellens, racing for UAE Team Emirates-XRG, has withdrawn from the event due to illness following his participation in the Tour de France.
