Renexia to invest €850 million in Ortona wind turbine hub

Renexia is set to establish an industrial production hub in the port of Ortona through its ‘InVento Italia’ project. The initiative involves a total investment of approximately 850 million euros to manufacture wind turbines intended for Italy’s 20 GW national offshore wind program.

To streamline the project, the single Special Economic Zone (ZES unica) of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers will manage the authorization process. This will be achieved through a specific delegation from the Central Adriatic Sea Port System Authority, which allows the ZES unica to convene service conferences and adopt a single authorization measure. This simplified administrative procedure aims to coordinate various competent entities and accelerate the implementation of the industrial site.
