Renner to return to music with tribute to late partner Rick

Brazilian sertanejo singer Renner has announced his return to the music scene, scheduled for the last week of October. His comeback will take place during a closed recording of the audiovisual project ‘Piunti Sessions’ in Paulínia, in the interior of São Paulo.

The performance will serve as a tribute to his long-time musical partner, Rick (Geraldo Antonio de Carvalho), who passed away in September at the age of 59. Rick died following a helicopter disappearance that involved five people on board, including businessman Bruno Avelar and videomaker Paulo Soares; there were no survivors.

Prior to the accident, the duo had participated in the ‘Piunti Sessions’ in August 2026, performing covers of classics such as ‘Porta do Mundo’ and ‘O Caçador’. Those recordings remain available on streaming platforms and YouTube.
