Rennes Marathon Vert partially cancelled following urban violence

The 15th edition of the Marathon Vert in Rennes, France, faced significant disruption following urban violence that devastated parts of the city center on October 17, 2026. While morning races proceeded after municipal services worked through the night to clean streets marked by looting and fires, the prefecture ordered the cancellation of all afternoon events.
