RENNSPORT identifies multiplayer connection issues following Hypercar DLC

RENNSPORT has acknowledged significant multiplayer connection problems and game crashes following the release of its Hypercar Expansion Pack on October 23, 2026. The developer reported that players are experiencing unexpected disconnections during online races.

In an official statement, the studio explained that the issue stems from a communication error during the multiplayer session handshake between the game client and online servers. Because the error originates within the game client rather than the backend infrastructure, server restarts will not resolve the problem. A client-side hotfix must be developed and distributed across PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.

The fix is currently undergoing internal testing and must pass certification processes from Sony and Microsoft. RENNSPORT noted the importance of maintaining crossplay compatibility during this process. No specific release date for the update has been confirmed.

The technical issues follow the launch of Update 1.2.18, which introduced the Hypercar Expansion Pack featuring the Aston Martin Valkyrie AMR-LMH, Lamborghini SC63, Toyota TR010 Hybrid, and Genesis GMR-001. This update also expanded Custom Contests to include up to 24 drivers and increased maximum race durations to 60 minutes.
