Renovabis chief Thomas Schwartz warns on AI misuse and pledges €250,000 for Ukrainian Greek‑Catholic Church

Renovabis chief Thomas Schwartz told the Herder Korrespondenz that humans must remain “the masters of AI,” warning that artificial intelligence merely simulates intelligence and lacks creativity, transcendence, or the capacity for failure and redemption. He described reliance on AI for writing as a dangerous temptation and urged clear distinction between human imagination and algorithmic output.

At a symposium before the synod of the Ukrainian Greek‑Catholic Church, Schwartz announced a €250,000 three‑year fund to help the church build financially sustainable structures. He called for social‑entrepreneurial initiatives in housing, health, education and agriculture, and emphasized a shift from short‑term deficit‑covering to long‑term institutional stability.
