Renovation projects underway for historic Polish landmarks

Several historical sites in Poland are undergoing significant restoration work to preserve their architectural heritage.

In Sandomierz, the 15th-century Dom Długosza is undergoing a front facade renovation. Funded by a grant of approximately 400,000 PLN from the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, the project involves cleaning centuries-old brickwork, repairing stonework, and restoring window frames and portals. Conservators are using laser testing to ensure the original brick layers are not damaged during the removal of cement buildup and cleaning of atmospheric grime. The work is expected to continue through late November.

Additionally, roof renovation has commenced at the Dworek Edmunda in Grabonóg. This site is closely associated with the heritage of Blessed Father Edmund Bojanowski. The restoration process began in late September, involving the removal of old roofing material and the installation of new shingles.
