Rent original cast to reunite for 30th anniversary benefit concert

Original cast members of the musical ‘Rent’ will reunite for a 30th anniversary benefit concert on October 26 at the Richard Rodgers Theatre. The one-night-only event will feature the full musical and is directed by Michael Greif.

Performers include original cast members Idina Menzel, Adam Pascal, Anthony Rapp, and Daphne Rubin-Vega, alongside Wilson Jermaine Heredia, Fredi Walker, and others. The production will also include various alumni such as Renée Elise Goldsberry and Aaron Tveit. More than 50 stars and special guests are expected to participate in the commemoration of Jonathan Larson’s work.

The concert will benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. While the in-person event is sold out, tickets remain available for a livestream of the performance.
