Renu Dhariyal sets Guinness World Record for longest hair

Renu Dhariyal, a resident of Uttarakhand, India, has been officially recognized by Guinness World Records for having the longest hair on a living woman. Her hair was measured at 271.50 cm (approximately 8 feet 10 inches) during verification in Haldwani.

Dhariyal, a content creator and YouTuber, has not cut her hair since 2015. She stated that her decision was inspired by Indian cultural traditions where long hair is seen as a symbol of beauty and tradition. She manages her hair through natural methods, using homemade chemical-free oils and shampoos.

The record breaks the previous achievement held by Ukraine's Aliia Nasyrova, whose hair measured 257.33 cm. Dhariyal's hair length is notably close to the height of Robert Wadlow, the tallest man in recorded history, who stood at 272 cm.
