Renzo Bossi recalls friendship between Umberto Bossi and Silvio Berlusconi

Renzo Bossi, son of Lega Nord founder Umberto Bossi, has shared personal recollections regarding the close friendship between his father and the late Silvio Berlusconi. In anticipation of what would have been Berlusconi’s 90th birthday, Renzo Bossi described a “fraternal bond” between the two political leaders.

According to Renzo Bossi, the two often met at the Bossi family home in Gemonio to discuss politics and government. Beyond their political alliance, they shared a passion for football. Berlusconi, while serving as the president of AC Milan, would frequently watch the team’s matches in the Bossi kitchen, sometimes calling the coach to offer tactical suggestions.

Renzo Bossi also noted that Berlusconi showed significant support during Umberto Bossi’s health struggles, occasionally visiting the hospital in Varese privately to offer his presence and affection to the family.
