Reo Kanshuji joins Netflix reality series ‘Love Joto 2’

The Netflix reality series ‘Love Joto 2’ (also referred to as ‘Furyo Ichizoku Sagai 2’) has drawn significant attention following the announcement of new cast members for its second season. Among the newcomers is rapper Reo Kanshuji, performing under the name RUNE999.

Kanshuji, who previously worked as an actor and appeared in ‘Kamen Rider Ghost’, has undergone a dramatic visual transformation, now featuring extensive tattoos on his neck and face. This change has sparked widespread discussion on social media, particularly due to his family connections; he is the nephew of former Morning Musume singer Maki Goto.

The series, which depicts the romantic lives and communal living of individuals from delinquent backgrounds, continues to be a subject of debate. While it maintains high viewership rankings globally, including in Hong Kong, Taiwan, and South Korea, it has faced criticism regarding the potential glamorization of criminal pasts and tattoos.
