Reolink launches Video Doorbell 2nd Gen with Qualcomm‑powered extended battery life

Reolink announced the on‑sale release of its Video Doorbell 2nd Gen, available in Australia and North America. The device uses Qualcomm’s QCC730 micro‑power Wi‑Fi solution, delivering up to 50% longer battery life—up to ten months on a single charge—compared with the first generation.

Key features include a 4 MP head‑to‑toe 1:1 view with a 150° horizontal, 150° vertical and 180° diagonal field of view, HDR imaging, and on‑device AI that detects people, vehicles, animals and packages without requiring a subscription. The doorbell offers two power options: a battery‑only mode for wire‑free installation, and an optional wired mode (16–24 VAC) for continuous 24/7 recording. Additional safety functions such as tamper alerts and voice‑masking are also built in.
