Reolink unveils new solar-powered security cameras at IFA 2026
At the IFA Berlin 2026 exhibition, Reolink introduced several new developments for its smart home security ecosystem, headlined by the OMVI 2i Ultra camera. This wireless model features a dual-lens design: an 8-megapixel wide-angle camera for continuous situational awareness and a 5-megapixel pan-tilt camera for object tracking.
The OMVI 2i Ultra utilizes SyncTrack technology, allowing the pan-tilt camera to automatically follow detected objects within a 355-degree horizontal and 50-degree vertical range. It also includes an auto-framing feature and allows users to manually direct the camera by tapping a point on the wide-angle view. The device is powered by a removable 10,000 mAh battery providing up to six months of use, supplemented by an integrated 6W solar panel using SolarEase technology.
Reolink also announced the OMVI X16 PoE, a flagship model featuring 24-megapixel resolution and 16x optical zoom, expected to launch in the fourth quarter of 2026. The OMVI 2i Ultra is slated for release in late October 2026 with an estimated price between 200 and 250 euros.
