Reopened Recycling Centers in Agios Nikolaos, Greece

The municipality of Agios Nikolaos announced that its three recycling centers ("Polycenters") resumed operations on Monday, 20 July 2026. The facilities are located under the Skla… site, in the Agios Antonios area, and beside the Elaiona junction, with opening hours of 08:00‑14:40, 10:00‑16:40, and 10:00‑16:40 respectively. The reopening follows a municipal initiative that began with a procurement competition in 2021, a program contract with waste‑management firm ESDAK signed in 2022, and the installation of the centers in 2024. Local officials are urging residents to use the centers to sort waste, boost recycling rates and protect the environment.
