Rep. Joo Jin-woo alleges 41 instances of false data entry in 22nd general election

National Assembly member Joo Jin-woo of the People Power Party held a press conference on April 25, alleging that discrepancies were found in 41 polling stations during the 22nd general election. He claimed that the hand-written 'tally sheets' prepared in the presence of observers did not match the digital results entered by National Election Commission (NEC) staff.

According to Joo, a comparison of tally sheets and digital results in the Seoul metropolitan area revealed discrepancies in eight specific locations, totaling 116 votes. These included six polling stations in Seoul, one in Gyeonggi, and one in Incheon. Additionally, Joo reported significant inconsistencies in the number of registered voters, noting a discrepancy of 14,214 people across 33 polling stations.

Joo criticized the ongoing special counsel investigation into the NEC, stating that despite 50 days having passed since its launch, there has been insufficient transparency and no arrests. He called for the investigation to expand its scope to include potential manipulation of previous presidential and general elections and requested forensic analysis of the NEC servers.
