Rep. Riley Moore says Senate inaction holds House hostage on voter‑ID SAVE Act
U.S. Representative Riley Moore (R‑WV) told Breitbart News Daily that House Republicans are moving to attach the SAVE Act, a voter‑ID measure, to the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). The strategy would return the legislation to the Senate after the House passed the Save America Act three times.
Moore described the Senate’s delay as “frustrating,” saying members of the House are “constantly held hostage to the inaction of the Senate.” He urged GOP senators to vote for the NDAA with the SAVE language included, warning that failure to do so would harm the Republican Party’s standing. He also argued the federal government must ensure “U.S. citizens are voting in our elections,” and criticized California’s automatic voter registration and extended mail‑ballot counting as threats to election integrity. Moore distinguished the SAVE Act, which he said focuses on voter ID, from the broader Save America Act that also addresses mail‑in ballots.
