Rep. Young Kim removes Trump references from campaign website

California Republican Representative Young Kim has removed several references to Donald Trump and the “America First” agenda from her campaign website. Previously, Kim’s site described her as a “proven fighter” who would stand with the former president, but recent updates focus on “taking on career politicians” and “restoring the American Dream.”

Kim is currently engaged in a competitive reelection race within California’s 40th District against fellow Republican Representative Ken Calvert. The contest follows redistricting that altered the district's boundaries. While both candidates utilized Trump-aligned messaging during the primary, their current campaign materials show a shift toward broader issues such as lowering costs and cutting taxes.

A spokesperson for Kim, Chris Pack, dismissed claims that the congresswoman is distancing herself from Trump as “completely absurd.” The campaign maintains that the race is centered on Kim’s record of delivering results versus Calvert’s long tenure in Washington.
