Repair Café Region Sursee promotes sustainable repair culture

The Repair Café Region Sursee is actively working to combat the throwaway society by providing a space for repairing various items. Held at the Kulturwerk 118, the initiative sees volunteers assisting with a wide range of repairs, including electronics, textiles, and mechanical devices.

On a typical Saturday morning, volunteers handle between 50 and 60 cases. Recent repairs have included items such as a raclette grill, a 1936 Bernina sewing machine table, and a flatbread heating plate. The organization relies on the specialized skills of its volunteers and operates on a voluntary basis, often accepting donations for spare parts and labor.
