RePatriot launches nationwide ‘Diaspora Days’ in over 40 Romanian communities this summer
RePatriot is organising a series of events called “Diaspora Days” across more than 40 Romanian communities during the summer, designating August as the Romanian Diaspora Month. The initiative, launched a decade ago, aims to treat Romanians living abroad as a permanent partner for local development rather than a temporary voter bloc.
The programme includes meetings, conferences, fairs, visits and partnerships involving local administrations, entrepreneurs, teachers, students and civil‑society organisations. The first participating localities this year are Satu Mare, Iași, Piatra‑Neamț, Cluj, Maramureș, Bistrița and Bucharest, with additional communities to announce their schedules later.
RePatriot invites members of the diaspora to return, share ideas, explore investment opportunities and build lasting relationships that can benefit their hometowns.
