Mario Pergolini proposes media boycott of Javier Milei
Media personality Mario Pergolini has proposed a collective response to the verbal attacks directed at journalists by Argentine President Javier Milei. During his program ‘Otro Día Perdido’, Pergolini suggested that media outlets should cease covering the President’s activities until he stops insulting the press. He argued that public condemnation alone has not changed the President's behavior and called for a shared action that transcends editorial differences.
Pergolini’s suggestion was echoed by journalist Dante López Foresi, who proposed restricting coverage to matters of strict public interest and verifying presidential claims rather than amplifying aggressive or partisan content. This follows protests by Reporters Without Borders (RSF) in Paris against the President’s stance on press freedom.
