Repsol appoints João Ferreira as brand ambassador in Portugal

Repsol has renewed its partnership with Portuguese rally-raid driver João Ferreira, appointing him as the brand ambassador for Repsol Lubricants in Portugal. The agreement was formalized on October 13 at a Repsol service station in Évora.

Ferreira, 27, is a prominent figure in rally-raid, currently competing for Toyota Gazoo Racing SA / SVR. His career highlights include an eighth-place finish in the 2025 Dakar Rally, a second-place finish in the 2026 Morocco Rally, and multiple national and international titles in off-road racing.

The partnership aims to leverage high-level motorsport as a testing ground for Repsol’s lubricant technology. By using extreme racing conditions to develop products, the company intends to strengthen its presence in the Portuguese consumer market through its ‘Hi-Tech & Hi-Touch’ concept.
