Republic Electoral Commission issues 48-hour deadline to Bogoljub Karić's list
The Republic Electoral Commission (RIK) has granted the electoral list 'Bogoljub Karić – Pokret snaga Srbije – BK' 48 hours to rectify documentation deficiencies. Following a verification process involving 65 authorized certifiers, the RIK determined that while 11,052 signatures were initially submitted, only 10,603 were found to be legally valid.
Additionally, the RIK requires the list to provide proof of electoral rights for candidate Danijela Sinadinović or to replace her on the list. The current ability to correct these errors within a 48-hour window is a result of recent legislative changes based on OSCE recommendations, which previously would have led to the immediate rejection of the list.
Separately, the organization CRTA has called for an investigation into potential bribery regarding signature collection in Niš. A video recording allegedly shows individuals being offered 1,500 dinars in exchange for support signatures. CRTA expressed concerns regarding the recurring nature of electoral irregularities and the lack of prosecutorial response to previous instances of voter manipulation.
