Republic of Moldova starts 2026 high school admission process
The Ministry of Education and Research of the Republic of Moldova opened the 2026 admission competition for ninth‑grade entry to public and private high schools. Applications can be submitted from 13 July, both electronically and on paper, and candidates may apply to multiple schools.
The admission is divided into two stages – the first runs 13‑27 July and the second 3‑14 August. In the first stage 308 of the 328 high schools will offer 13,749 places across 601 classes. Results of the first stage will be announced on 27 July, with a three‑day window (28‑30 July) for admitted students to submit proof of enrollment; the second stage will fill remaining vacancies, with applications 3‑6 August, results 10 August, and final enrollment documents due 11‑13 August. Additional entrance exams are planned only for arts and sports profile schools.
