Republic of the Congo holds conference to harmonize civil security
Civil security officials in the Republic of the Congo convened in Brazzaville from September 21 to 23, 2026, for a conference aimed at harmonizing operational practices and strengthening inter-service synergy.
Under the leadership of Civil Security Command General Albert Ngoto, the meeting sought to establish a common reference framework to address disparities in mission understanding, working methods, and administrative procedures. An internal evaluation, which included a review of health coverage during 2026 state exams, highlighted inconsistencies in how directives were applied across different services.
The conference focused on several key administrative and operational themes, including personnel management, leadership in command, and the standardization of service execution documents. Discussions also addressed the operational collaboration between civil security units, the national police, and the gendarmerie to ensure a more coherent response to field requirements.
