Republic of the Congo hosts Repats Congo 2026 economic forum

The second edition of the 'Investir au Congo' economic forum, titled 'Repats Congo 2026', was held on October 14 and 15 at the Palais des congrès in Brazzaville. Organized by the Haut Conseil représentatif des Congolais de l’étranger (HCRCE) in partnership with the Service international d’appui au développement (SIAD) and Agence Racines, the event focused on the involvement of the Congolese diaspora in the economic development of the Republic of the Congo.

The forum specifically highlighted 'Repats'—Congolese citizens who have chosen to return to their home country after living abroad. Organizers emphasized that these individuals bring valuable professional experience, skills, and international networks that can be utilized to create businesses, transfer knowledge, and promote local employment. The event brought together public institutions, diplomats, entrepreneurs, and investors to strengthen ties between those living within the country and the diaspora.
