Republika Srpska approves 55 million KM in credit for Šume RS

The Government of Republika Srpska has approved credit indebtedness for the public enterprise ‘Šume Republike Srpske’ totaling 55 million KM. This includes a guarantee from the government for a loan of up to 40.2 million KM, alongside an additional 14.8 million KM loan approved in the capacity of the company’s shareholders' assembly.

The funds are intended to refinance existing credit obligations and tax administration reprogramming. A portion of the capital will be used to settle carried-over obligations from previous periods to local communities, contractors, and suppliers, while the remainder will address due obligations from the current year.

According to the Government's Public Relations Bureau, this debt restructuring aims to reduce monthly annuities and improve liquidity to ensure the enterprise can continue its production and financial plans. The company is expected to implement measures to increase production volume and reduce costs to stabilize operations.
