Republika Srpska government seeks solution for RTRS salary crisis

Nenad Stevandić, President of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska, stated that the government will find a way to ensure employees of Radio-televizija Republike Srpske (RTRS) receive their salaries and health insurance.

The issue has been discussed at least four times within the National Assembly's Constitutional Commission and leadership meetings. Stevandić clarified that while the National Assembly is the founder of RTRS, it is not the management or governing structure, as its role is limited to appointing the management board.

RTRS is currently facing account freezes following a ruling by the District Commercial Court in Banja Luka. This latest decision involves a freeze of 2.5 million marks in favor of BHRT, marking the third enforceable court ruling in Republika Srpska in favor of the Sarajevo-based television station at the expense of RTRS.
