Republika Srpska Health Fund announces doctor change period

The Health Insurance Fund of Republika Srpska has announced the regular period for changing or selecting family medicine doctors, pediatricians, and gynecologists. This period begins on September 1 and will run until October 31.

During this designated timeframe, insured individuals can change their physician without providing a specific reason. To complete the process, patients must fill out the necessary forms with their newly selected doctor and have them verified by the Fund. Once processed, patients can receive healthcare from the new doctor starting at the beginning of the following year.

While changes can be made outside this window, individuals must provide a justified reason, such as a change of residence or the selected doctor ceasing work. The Fund noted that the financial value of contracts with health centers depends on the number of registered individuals, making it important for registrations to be completed during this period to ensure timely contracting for the upcoming year.
