Trump distances himself from advisors working for Republika Srpska

Donald Trump has publicly distanced himself from political advisors Chris LaCivita and James Blair following reports that they provided advisory services to the government of Republika Srpska in Bosnia and Herzegovina. According to reporting by The New York Times, the two operatives were engaged through a Washington-based law firm to provide counsel on matters including the electoral process ahead of recent elections.

LaCivita and Blair reportedly received hundreds of thousands of dollars each for their services. Trump addressed the situation on Truth Social, characterizing them as external consultants rather than official employees and noting that they are permitted to work for multiple clients. He stated that he would investigate their other engagements and would immediately terminate cooperation if any conflict of interest is discovered.

Separate reports indicate that the Republika Srpska government has paid over 4 million dollars to various lobbyists and political operatives connected to Trump since early last year. Additionally, discussions have emerged regarding the lifting of sanctions on Milorad Dodik and the involvement of companies like AAFS Infrastructure & Energy LLC in regional energy projects.
