Republika Srpska launches school sports equipment and monitoring project
The Ministry of Family, Youth and Sport of Republika Srpska has launched the 'Safe Sports Steps in School' project, which includes the distribution of sports equipment to 187 primary and 96 secondary schools across the region. To date, approximately 220,000 KM has been allocated for this initiative.
In addition to equipment distribution, the project introduces a systematic method for monitoring students' physical and motor development. Testing has already commenced, including at the 'Ivo Andrić' Primary School in Banja Luka, conducted by the Institute for Sport of Republika Srpska.
The long-term goal is to create a digital platform where data from these tests will be stored, allowing each student to have a 'sports passport.' This system aims to track physical progress from the second grade through the completion of their education, helping to identify athletic potential for both recreational and professional sports paths.
