Republika Srpska MUP faces allegations of radar tender rigging
Potential bidders for a 23 million marka tender to procure 90 stationary radars suspect that the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Republika Srpska (MUP RS) is rigging the process to favor a specific company.
Bidders have pointed to several irregularities in the tender documentation published on August 12. Key concerns include the absence of essential technical specifications, such as measurement technology, frequency range, or meter class. One bidder noted that while critical components like field unit camera resolution and type are omitted, the documentation specifies highly detailed requirements for workstation monitors, including diagonal size, ports, and manufacturer.
There are additional suspicions that the equipment may have already been purchased and is sitting in storage, with the tender serving as a mere formality. One company has officially requested clarification regarding these logical inconsistencies in the procurement requirements.
