Republika Srpska pays 10 million KM in fuel subsidies
The Government of Republika Srpska has disbursed approximately 10 million KM from its budget to support citizens and businesses through direct fuel price subsidies. This measure allows for a reduction of 0.10 KM per liter for unleaded gasoline and diesel at participating stations.
The subsidy program, which began on April 15, has been extended until October 15. Currently, 45 business entities covering 281 gas stations across the region are participating in the initiative. The Ministry of Trade and Tourism continues to monitor the oil derivatives market to mitigate the impact of rising prices and protect living standards.
In addition to direct fuel support, the government maintains regulations on profit margins. Since April 2021, maximum margins have been set at 0.06 KM per liter for wholesale and 0.25 KM per liter for retail. Furthermore, margin restrictions on essential goods and medicines, such as milk, flour, and sugar, remain in effect until December 31, 2026.
