Milići fatal collision: 22-year-old killed in three-car crash

A fatal three-car collision occurred on the Zvornik-Vlasenica main road in the Zaklopača area near Milići on August 28 at approximately 10:00 PM. The accident involved a Chevrolet, a Passat driven by an individual from Bijeljina, and a second Passat driven by a 22-year-old man from Milići, identified as S. I., who was killed in the crash.

Four other people were injured in the incident, including two minors. The injured individuals, including the driver of the Bijeljina vehicle and three passengers, were initially treated at the Milići Health Center before being transferred to the Zvornik hospital for further medical care.

Police from the Zvornik Police Administration conducted an investigation at the scene in the presence of a prosecutor from the East Sarajevo District Public Prosecutor's Office. Traffic on this section of the highway was completely suspended for approximately four hours, from 10:00 PM until 2:00 AM, to allow for the investigation and removal of vehicles.

Separately, data from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Republika Srpska indicates a rise in motorcycle-related incidents. During the first seven months of 2026, eight motorcyclists and one moped driver died on the roads, with a notable increase in serious injuries compared to the same period in 2025.
