Republika Srpska security chief suspected of smuggling cocaine
Milan Vulinović, the former security chief for the Prime Minister of Republika Srpska, is suspected of using official government vehicles to transport cocaine from Serbia into Republika Srpska. According to reports sent to the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Vulinović allegedly used police sirens and official status to bypass border controls without being stopped.
Investigations involving the deciphering of the encrypted SKY ECC application suggest that Vulinović coordinated with Daniel Popović, the suspected leader of an organized criminal group involved in drug and weapons trafficking. Vulinović is accused of being part of a criminal group that includes two other members of the Republika Srpska Ministry of Internal Affairs, Željko Đukanović and Srđan Raković.
The suspects face charges of organized crime and unauthorized drug trafficking, while Popović is also suspected of illegal weapons and military equipment trafficking. Evidence indicates that the drug smuggling activities occurred on several documented dates, with some instances dating back to early 2020.
