Republika Srpska student aid payments delayed by banking errors

The Ministry of Science, Technological Development and Higher Education of Republika Srpska has reported significant issues with the distribution of one-time financial aid of 150 KM intended for students. Banks have returned a large number of payment orders due to incorrect bank account numbers and other inaccurate data provided during the application process.

The Ministry emphasized that the most frequent error involves students providing accounts that are not opened in their own names. Once banks finish processing all payment orders, the Ministry will determine the exact number of affected students and publish instructions on how to submit corrected information.

Eligible students who provide accurate data within the forthcoming deadlines will receive the assistance. Additionally, the Ministry of Education and Culture noted that while payments to primary school students are complete, some errors occurred, and they are working with schools to resolve these irregularities.
